End-of-Semester Exhibition – 13-15th February
Research + Destroy brings together student projects from across all stages of the interdisciplinary Master’s programme Design & Computation, showcasing artistically and technologically informed, politically engaged academic research and design interventions within contemporary socio-technical systems. The exhibition frames research not as the production of stable knowledge, but as a critical practice – one that tests, disrupts, and tactically dismantles inherited methods when they no longer suffice.
A common thread across many exhibited projects this year is the examination of how new technologies shape and accelerate destruction: from militarised technologies and infrastructures of war to political propaganda, informational violence, and the disruptive effects of AI. Yet this disruptive momentum is simultaneously reimagined in many works as an opportunity to constructively re-envision and redesign dysfunctional systems and collective practices of the present.
Students will be present throughout and are eager to discuss their work on AI and power, counter-archiving and evidentiary practices, as well as experimental methods for design research. Throughout the weekend, the programme unfolds across multiple formats. Friday features an opening reception, party, and live performances. Daily, students will lead guided tours, and the project group ‚AI @ TU‘ will host student-initiated discussions exploring how AI impacts life at universities.
We look forward seeing you!
