Lars Pinkwart investigates systems of modeling & algorithmic management in the context of techno-science and planetary governance. Before, he studied at the intersection of media studies and STS at University of Potsdam and Goldsmiths, UoL. In the Studio year at Design & Computation his shared practice with Philipp Gschwendter focused on the different scales of computation, operational images and unrepresentable objects, from planetary models to microscopic images. Joining the team in 2022, he develops formats such as this website, supports research and teaching and curates events for the Loops series. He graduated in 2024 with a thesis on the historic shift towards a valorisation of disruption and the emerging political order of AI.
